Travel Geist is an independent travel guide for Asia, built for people who live in Asia and travel within it. We help you decide where to go, when to go, and what to book, without the clutter of a booking-engine search page.

Why we exist

Most travel sites are built to sell you a room or a ticket as fast as possible. We start earlier, with the question of whether a destination, neighbourhood or itinerary is right for you. Our guides cover intra-Asia trips, from a long weekend in Taipei to a two-week loop through Vietnam. We write for Asian travellers first, which means we cover visa rules for your passport, direct flight routes and local payment options. We also cover food, festivals, school-holiday timing and the practical details that generic guides skip.
